I had the most amazing experience staying at Minakamisanso. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I were comfortable throughout our stay. The traditional Japanese room with a view of the mountain was stunning, and the in-room bath was pure bliss. The food was a unique experience, although some dishes may not be to everyone's taste. I would highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable Japanese cultural immersion.

The Japanese-style room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view of the surrounding hills. The traditional Japanese food offered during dinner and breakfast was filling and delicious. the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The lack of in-room wifi was a bit inconvenient, as we had to go to the common area to access it. the location was a bit out of the way, and would have been difficult to navigate without a car.

Spent an amazing Christmas getaway in a mountain resort with hot springs. the room was cozy, comfortable and had an amazing view of the snowy valley. the traditional Japanese meals served in the restaurant were really delicious, and the staff was always eager to help out with their exceptional service. the private hot springs were definitely the best aspect with warm water and fresh air giving a truly relaxing experience. the setting of the resort is really beautiful with stunning mountains all around.
The limited amenities was the only downside as there was no in-room wifi, and the temperature of the hot springs could not be adjusted to our preference. Although the outdoor pool is small, the overflow from the indoor pool fills it up with warm water, but the temperature was not suitable for everyone.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and loaded with different items, while the creative Japanese cuisine served at dinner was superb. The onsen was breathtaking with a stunning view of the mountains. The whole facility was clean and stylishly designed. Additionally, the hotel is situated in the midst of nature, with beautiful hiking trails and a refreshing atmosphere.
Nothing negative to say.

I recently enjoyed a delightful stay at a Japanese hotel and ryokan. the staff were incredibly kind and offered a shuttle service from the nearest station, making it easy to reach despite the remote location. the traditional Japanese meals were exquisite with a variety of courses and the onsen, both indoor and outdoor, provided stunning views of the mountains and clean, warm water to relax and unwind in. My room was equipped with a kotatsu table which added a cozy touch to the lovely view.
The only drawback I experienced was the lack of in-room wifi, but the comfortable lobby with free wifi access more than made up for it.
